Lakeshore State Park
Address: Lakeshore State Park, North Harbor Drive, Milwaukee, WI, United States

Nothing to do on a Saturday morning? Come be a water scientist! Explore the chemistry and invertebrate populations of Lake Michigan in Lakeshore State Park. We will conduct studies on phosphorus, nitrogen and dissolved oxygen content; temperature and pH; and conduct a plankton tow and invertebrate jab. Come experience first hand how we monitor the quality of our water resources! We will meet at the south entrance and head up to our pebble beach and wetland areas. Dress warm, it’s always cooler by the lake!

Free Parking is available at the park’s south entrance road (access from Erie St.). It is about a 15 minute walk from the south entrance to the north, but on the way you can take in the lovely views of the prairies throughout the park! Paid parking is available at the north entrance at O’Donnell Park.

Free-All Ages
